Probability

Today we learned Independent v.s Dependant events and Mutually Exclusive v.s Mutually Inclusive Events. This is review for me since I have already done this on Accelerated Math. This might not be as easy for some because common sense is becoming less common.

Sample Space

Yesterday we reviewed sample space. I mean review in that it was nothing new for me, so the recording not recording is not a big deal.

Conics-Parabolas

Today we did our parabola section in conics. This is pretty easy seeing as it is review, and as far as sideways parabolas, they're not much harder considering that the same rules apply.

Graphing Hyperbolas

Today we learned how to graph hyperbolas using standard form as well as how to find the asymptotes of an equation. This is similar to yesterday, except sketching these equations onto a graph.

More and More Conics

Today we learned how to graph Ellipses and Hyperbolas. It is rather easy considering we just have to follow a few simple guideines.

Even More Conics

Today we learned how to do the exact opposite of what we learned on Friday. THis is converting to standard form from generalized form which is even easier than the opposite. We were also asked to look up the terms major and minor axis, and vertex.

Work Period

Since Mr. Max's Sympodium(tm) isn't working, we get a work period. Also, helping Grade 11 applied students was fun so if i'm still in school next year, I might tutor a Grade 12 PreCalc class.

More Conics

Today we learned more about conics which included coverting general form conics into standard form conics. It's pretty easy.

Conics

Today we started our unit on conics. There are four types of conics: circle, ellipse, hyperbola, parabola. Identifying conics by graphs ad equations is pretty easy as well as finding out the values for: A,C,D,E,F, but not B yet.

Pascal's Triangle

Also with binomial theorem, we learned the basics of Pascal's triangle. This is how we get the formula for binomial theorem. I think it is pretty neat.

Binomial Theorem (Both Days)

Today and yesterday we learned Binomial Theorem. This stuff is one of the easier units in the class as far as I'm concerned. I think that is pretty neat for solving binomial equations with large exponent values.
